What is Cobbler? Cobbler is my small business of illustrated gifts, cards, and books. All of the illustrations are my original work.
How I did I design the homepage? I designed the Cobbler homepage in Figma using UI components (buttons, navigation tools, search bars, icons) from Google's open source Material 3 design system. I created custom colors for the buttons. My colors follow a spring floral theme.
How did I learn Figma? I learned Figma as a student in NC State University's College of Design + as a visual designer for CrowdStrike's web marketing team. Figma is a core enterprise software tool for designing at scale. I have continued learning Figma by studying online resources.
What's next for the project? I am creating more pages for the website, which will be fully operational across all devices (desktop, mobile, tablet). Here's my work in progress for the mobile site (the photos are serving as placeholder images). I'm excited to keep creating!
