What is Attention Castle? Attention Castle (AC) is an app that helps people focus in the Salesforce platform. People create focus goals (like number of tasks completed each day) and receive custom data visualizations that give insights about their workday. The app is fully integrated into Salesforce Sales Cloud, Slack, and Tableau. AC uses Agentforce's generative AI capabilities to learn and produce new insights in real time.

What is my role in the project? As the product manager for Attention Castle, I researched existing focus apps and Salesforce tools. I discovered that a focus app would be an innovation addition to the AppExchange. I created clear product criteria for my team's developer to build features around.
I am also working as the team's visual designer; I'm creating the visual identity for the app, including the castle icon. After exploring various color ways, I chose a deep purple-blue (top left corner) for the icon. The deep color reminds me of a deep focus. I created the castle icon in Adobe Illustrator as a vector image. I enjoyed seeing my creative castle in different colors!

How did we name the app? My team's Salesforce developer contributed the word "attention". I contributed the word "castle".
At first, I had thought of a turtle shell as something that protects (an app that protects your time). Then, when our developer suggested the word "armor" as an alternative to "shell", I thought of the medieval theme.
For my design research, I gathered various designs in a Figma board. I collected video game icons, gems, bounce castles, and bright colors. My design research helped inform the visual identity of the app.

So cool to see our app in the App Launcher in Salesforce! Attention Castle is in the bottom right corner of the window.

What am I learning from this experience? I'm gaining firsthand experience as a product manager, as I'm working directly with a Salesforce admin and developer to define product features and acceptance criteria. My team and I are working in an agile environment with daily stand ups where we share our progress, challenges, and work together to build solutions. We visualize our tasks on a Kanban board in Salesforce. As the product manager, one of my core responsibilities is to form user stories.
What's next for this project? My next step is to use my visual design skills to produce a product demo! In addition to the existing features that our team's developer has built, I want to show the possibilities of what could be (just like a good solution engineer would do)! We plan to add our app to the Salesforce AppExchange.
We are building the app for Salesforce's 2025 Agentforce Hack-a-thon. My team is competing against 5,000 competitors to win the Salesforce prize of $140,000!

Here's my screen from Adobe Illustrator (the latest software with my 2023 version) as I created the castle icon.
